This is a group forINTERMEDIATE cyclists only. We cycle on road, no MTB or off road rides, sorry. We are not lycra snobs but we do wear lycra...and cotton and any other fabric which we find comfy! Rides are usually 70+ miles long, shorter in winter due to limited daylight. Pace? Steady at about 15mph although the super fit members take the lead at no less than 20mph. We ride everywhere in the countryside usually starting within a one hour train journey out of London. However we have been spotted …

Hello my name is Justin and I have been doing type 1 diabetes for 14 years. When I was a teenager I went on a holiday to a beautiful part of Scotland and met other teenagers who had diabetes. We went sailing, kyaking, and windsurfing, we all had a great time. It was great to meet people who were also managing diabetes in their life. I have not been able to find something like that for adults without having to fundraise for a diabetes charity so I thought I would create a group to see if others w …

I started this group because I, like many others, sometimes find it difficult to motivate myself to train solo, especially for the long rides, or the long runs. I'd like to think this group could potentially have enough people so that anyone around London could find someone to train with at any time, whether it's the conventional cycle at 9am Sunday morning, or a less than conventional open-water swim at 2am on a December morning, although I'd question the motives of that one! Anyone can join, …
