The Schneider Electric Cycling Club is a group of Schneider Electric employees in the Raleigh-Durham area who enjoy getting together for group bicycle rides and participating in charity events through cycling.  While we are primarily a road cycling club, many of our members also enjoy mountain biking or more casual, family-oriented rides on local greenbelts and cycling paths.  Note, all of our events are "rides", not "races".  We ride as a group and maintain a strict "no drop" policy.  Regardle …

The “Selma” in “Selma Cyclepaths” is a little misleading, as few of the team members live or cycle in Selma. Selma is the home of one of the founding members who named the team in 1993. There has been little interest in changing the tradition or the alliteration of the name. While many of the Cyclepaths are from Johnston County, just as many are from Wake, Orange and Durham counties. We are a group of cyclists of all levels who get together for rides, followed by socializing at the Hibernian Irish Pubs in Raleigh and Cary. Many of us are members of Hibernian's Bike MS team and participate in the annual Bike MS: Historic New Bern Ride in September. We welcome all cyclists, from novice to experienced, and tailor our rides to those attending.
